Independent supplier guide
Marine Gearbox and Transmission Suppliers
Source marine gearboxes, couplings and controls with ratio, rotation, torque and installation compatibility checked.
What to confirm
- Reduction ratio and rotation
- Input torque and duty rating
- Coupling and shaft compatibility
- Controls, cooler and oil specification
Compatibility should be confirmed against documented identifiers and the installed system—not appearance, paint colour or boat brochure. Ask whether the item is genuine, OEM or aftermarket; what is included; what can be returned; and who provides technical support after sale.
Build a comparable quote
Give every supplier the same brief. Include model and serial numbers, clear photographs, vessel location, required delivery date and whether freight, installation, consumables, commissioning and warranty registration are included. Separate optional work so the lowest headline price does not hide an incomplete scope.
For safety-critical, below-waterline or high-current components, have suitability and installation checked by the appropriate qualified marine trade. Read our information and safety disclaimer before acting.
